This example of the traditional Neapolitan axeman’s craft has been adapted to suit modern construction techniques. The Gozzo [Fishing boat] Libeccio 8,50 Sport is built by Cantieri Mimi in Naples. The classically shaped hull is made of fibreglass and the deck is finished in solid Teak. The sun deck is very spacious and is protected by a very high rail, with a convenient ladder that links it to the spacious poop deck. Below deck the space has been used very well. To the right there is the fibreglass sink and unit, electric WC, and cooker, and there are three comfortable berths forward of this space. The roll bar is a standard feature along with awnings at the bow and stern, and shower with two 50 litre water tanks. The boat is powered by a 260 HP(MAX) ENGINE and has two 100 litre steel fuel tanks.
